Steps to a new road

Inspired by "The Road not taken"

One photo i was not able to upload : http://www.blueswami.com/assets/images/articles/ancientfootprints_narrowweb__300x450_0.jpg Now for the Poem.

Walking was I though the path of life-
where the grass grew along the side,
and the pebbles pushed down by my foot
went deep down the soil to hide.

Looking back at the path I strolled;
I found my footprints imprinted,
I had left a mark behind-
A mark to be inculcated.

The mark was as deep as the pebble went,
Thats how deep words go in the heart.
I felt the need to choose the words right-
The need to play my part.

Thinking about the path i walked-
Coming to my mind, the many marks,
I took the step to follow them,
which started a new life with sparks

Sparks were they of a new beginning-
A better understanding to thyself,
A new meaning to Sun and Rain,
Indeed, a new meaning to myself.

The new beginning had a impact
Making the brightest sunlight brighter,
Changing was it everything-
Changing even the touch of rain lighter.

That little step had made all the difference.
It had made me who I was-
It did have an impact on me,
I had changed for a good cause.

That One Night

She lay there watching,
Couples enjoying their wonderful night,
waltzing away to glory were they,
O! It was a wonderful sight.

Her beauty could allure anyone,
She was just too perfect
on her were the eyes of every bloke,
A lady every lad would expect.

Entered a lad equally handsome,
the one for the perfect lovely woman
Blue eyed and blond haired,
He looked like an alluring Roman.

He knelt down and gestured her to dance,
happily she started a blip,
and their eyes met and they danced apace,
in each other's eyes they did slip.

They waltzed and swung their way to limelight,
seeing them some did bless,
yet many did blather,
and to the blather they did not address.

They tangoed till late that night
and ended their ball with kiss,
they found in each other, the magical love,
a new found, much awaited bliss.

The Romeo fell on his knees
And asked, "Will you marry me?"
The lady did hesitate,
But later said, “So shall it be”.

Story of a Girl

A
n angel brought down from heaven-
To earth, is a girl child
Born at the call of the morning seven,
Touch those tiny fingers so mild.

Dressed in bright baby pink,
she hops around happily,
in every bloke's mind; her beauty does sink
as she grows up swiftly.

As a young girl she does blather
Her innocence still glowing
Her age, it does matter,
As her thoughts are indeed blazing.

A young women, she beautifies the angel
on her are the eyes of every bloke.
Admiring her graze, with her they do mingle
on their graze they do choke.

Her beauty drives her for marriage
when she meets her Mr. Perfect- And
she drives away with him in a carriage,
Life is half done when they go hand in hand.

She glows with something beyond happiness
as she is blessed with an angel.
The baby girl is also joyous
as she grows up to break the shell.

Lady's years pass quicker,
as her daughter grows up into a fine little girl,
the years have rolled, the lady has got sicker
and the girl has grown into a beautiful pearl.

The lady's history repeats for her daughter
as the pearl grows out of the oyster,
and the lady's life grown shorter,
the daughter's Mr. Perfect, a handsome mister.

The marriage becomes a grand event;
the bride looking acme,
as many a penny spent
And Happiness in front of them lay.

Old folks say history repeats itself
as for the lady now, she is dead,
the daughter, will not pity herself
for the lady now rests in bed.

SAVE OUR TIGERS INITIATIVE

Just 1411 tiger in India

Tigers, something which will not be known to man in just a few years. We as humans can not let this happen, join the save our tigers initiative. Help the helpless, They too are something part of the nature. We cant let this happen, being surprised doesn't help.

In official and distressing figures released last week by the newly-minted National Tiger Conservation Authority (set up to implement India's Project Tiger), the latest estimated count of tigers remaining in India’s protected forests hovers at a mere 1,411 – less than half of the 3,642 tigers tallied during the last census of 2001-2002. India is believed to be home to about half of the world’s remaining wild tiger population.

The main culprits for this decline are poaching, habitat loss and the increasing scarcity of prey. Across the border in China and in other parts of Southeast Asia, tiger-derived products and medicines are in demand, further pushing the tiger toward extinction.

But according to the secretary of the Tiger Project, Rajesh Gopal, there is still hope to be found in the fact that the government is setting up eight new tiger reserves, covering 30,000 square kilometres of known tiger territory. In addition to this and in the face of immense international pressure of "too little, too late", the government also recently set up a wildlife crime control bureau to keep poaching of tigers and other endangered animals in check.
